How does Housing and Dining decide who gets what hall and room?
Students returning to the halls for the next year get to select their rooms based on priority and current assignments. This process occurs each March. Students new to the halls are assigned space, in halls for which they are eligible, based on the date of confirmation and date of the housing application to Washington State University during our assignment process in early June. After these processes are run, your preferred space in the halls may have already been taken. After early June, we hand assign as we receive applications.
