How does having a drug, alcohol or tobacco testing kit in my house help my child fight peer pressure?
The problem with peer pressure is that it never lets up. Almost all kids start out knowing they shouldnt try tobacco, alcohol or drugs. Most kids say No the first times they are offered by giving an excuse such as Im afraid or I dont want to get caught. But sooner or later, many kids will run out of excuses and simply give in to the peer pressure. Having a testing kit in the house sends a clear message to your kids that you are serious about not wanting them to smoke, drink or do drugs. When their friends start to pressure them, your kids will have an air-tight reason that other kids will understand. My Mom has a drug test kit at home and if she uses it, Ill be grounded for life.
