How does Harvard Pilgrims prescription drug benefit work?
Most Harvard Pilgrim plans offer a three-tier drug benefit with low, medium and high copayments. In most cases, your doctor can prescribe a Tier 1 or Tier 2 drug to effectively treat your condition as well as save you money. Should your doctor decide that a Tier 3 drug is best for you, Harvard Pilgrim will still cover your medication but at the highest copayment. Look up a drug tier to determine your copay.
