How does GS1 BarCode work?
The GS1 BarCode system is based on a simple process. A number assigned to a product and corresponding data previously stored in a database is read and interpreted by a scanner, which is then transmitted to a computer. They are black and white stripes that allow reading the code, each band corresponding to a binary series. Through this system, each purchase transaction made at the point of sale of a store, is automatically saved and added to the database.
