How does Groupler handle messages?
We currently let you post messages, photos, files, links, and dates to groups. You can send and receive messages directly from the group’s page, over email (via the group’s email address) and your mobile device (to the group’s mobile text #). To reply to a message simply reply to the email or mobile text message. It’s also easy to “add a comment” to a message on the group’s page. When a message is sent to the group, we’ll store the message and display it in the group’s message stream, a timeline log, so members in the group can follow the conversation. We’ll then deliver the message to each of the group members the way they wish to receive group messages (web, web + email, or web + SMS text). When a photo, file, link, or date is sent to the group, we’ll store the digital media and display the file, along with other files like it, on the right side of the group’s page.
