How does Golfshot calculate Sand Saves and Penalty shots?

0

The initial score screen will ask you how many shots and putts you hit for the hole. Based on this information Golfshot calculates how many additional strokes are feasible for sand or penalty shots. For example, you hit par on a par 5 with a 2 putt. The drive and two putts will limit the remaining sand and penalty strokes to 2. The sum of the total number of strokes cannot exceed the score for that hole.
