How does Gift Aid work?

Gift Aid is one of the easiest ways to make your donation tax effective. The charity you are supporting reclaims the basic rate tax from the Inland Revenue. There is no extra cost to you and the process is simple – all you have to do is make a Gift Aid declaration.

If you are a UK tax payer Breast Cancer Care and The Eve Appeal can claim an extra 28p for every 1 donation. You must pay an amount of Income Tax and / or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the tax that the charity reclaims on your donations in the appropriate tax year (currently 28p for each £1 you give). Simply fill in your details on the freepost envelope or online and we’ll do the rest. If you have a question that has not been answered above, please do not hesitate to e-mail us on customercare@bootsrecycle.com or call us on 08453 70 70 17.
