A. Apart from improved power transfer through its low friction coefficient, FX4 measurably restores compression – which inhibits blow by and oil burning in the combustion chamber. Immediate emission control that may be required for the new MOT test is assisted by the prior engine flushing and running the unit at high revs for 10 minutes with fresh oil and FX4 before taking measurements. For the best results FX4 should be added approximately 1,000 miles before the MOT test.
