How does Flumotion Encoder works?
Flumotion Encoder manages to acquire the natural signal from a video / audio capturing device and encode it into multiple popular formats in the market (Flash, Windows Media, MP3, MP4, MOV, OGG, etc). To do this, the encoder uses smaller software pieces called codecs (VP6, h264, AAC, WMV, WMA, Theora, Vorbis, etc). After the media files are encoded, the encoder sends these files to the Streamer part of the software which is the software part that will manage to delivery the contents to final users. Different from almost all other Streaming Software in the market, Flumotion Software is one of the few that includes the necessary codecs for the encoding process.
