How Does Fish Oil Help to Lower Triglycerides?
Triglycerides are one of the three parts of cholesterol in the body: low-density lipoproteins (LDL), high-density lipoproteins (HDL) and triglycerides. When a person consumes foods, particularly carbohydrates, the body transforms these carbohydrates into glucose. Glucose is then used by the body for energy. However, not all glucose is used. These forms are transferred to the liver where it converts glucose into glycogen, which is then stored in the muscles.
