How does fate bring Romeo and Juliet together?
My memory is a bit dim (it’s been over 10 years since I studied that play in school), and I don’t want to write the whole thing FOR you, since that wouldn’t be fair. But there are a few points that you could address… 1) Romeo was on the rebound (someone named Rosalind, I think) so he had just been freed up from another attachment. 2) They had instant chemistry – knew from the moment they set eyes on each other that they were attracted. 3) Their families being at war was no obstacle to them – they got together a plan in spite of the opposition. I do think that they could have made it and been happy if not for their families’ petty disputes; they’d never have needed to sneak around, and would never have taken the drastic measures that made one mistake the other for being dead.
