How does eZcart calculate weight?
You may specify an items shipping weight in pounds, ounces, or a combination of both. eZcart will compute fractions for the pounds field but not for ounces. Ounces will be rounded to a whole number before adding to cart weight. All weights are converted to ounces internally. The final shipping weight is calculated by adding the floor packing weight to the total weight in ounces of all items selected. If ‘zero’ weight is specified for an item, eZcart will substitute the item minimum weight in effect when the program was created. If no minimum weight is specified, a weight of zero will apply to that item. Here is an example of how different numbers are calculated.
