How does EXTEND work?
EXTEND is a negatively charged, high molecular weight linear copolymer. Soil particles and nutrients are positively charged. In the presence of aqueous fluids such as water and water-soluble nutrients, the negatively charged polymer structure of EXTEND will bind to the positively charged soil particles and nutrients. This mixture of soil particles, nutrients, and EXTEND is bound tightly together. The net effect of this process is improved water infiltration into soil.
