How does equilibration work?
The process of equilibration starts with a careful evaluation, which sometimes includes X-rays. A special marking tape is used to evaluate your specific biting pattern. The dental handpiece is then used to carefully and meticulously remove small layers of tooth enamel. The process is repeated, sometimes on subsequent visits, until your bite is back in harmony.
