How does equatorial climate inpact poeples lives?
Actually, there is an effect. Most countries situated near the equator are relatively undeveloped. There is a scientific reason for this: the climate does not lend itself to easy agriculture. This has more of an affect then we might first consider. The vast majority of nations reciving aid are within 15 degrees north or south of the equator. This fact has been noted by aid organisations. I know some will automatically jump on me and scream racism or whatever, but I volunteer a lot overseas for aid projects, and I have worked with missionaries and aid co-ordinators and needs assessors, and the bulk of their work is in this zone. Agriculture is difficult, tropical diseases are many, and economies are usually quite undeveloped, apart from some like Malaysia and Singapore, and this development, when compared to Europe or the US or Australia has been in recent times. I hope this helps!
