How does Epson recycle Inkjet printer Cartridges?
Once the inkjet Cartridges have been collected and the bins are full, they are sent to a recycling plant where the cartridges are separated into different material streams for further treatment. An ink cartridge consists mainly of plastics, which are processed into granulated plastic, which can then be used to build other products. The small percentages of different metals that are contained in the ink cartridge are sent to a metal smelter which, through further treatment, separates the different metals in clean streams which can also be reused in new products.
