How does eOpen differ from the Microsoft Open License?
eOpen only changes the way licenses are received and tracked. The ordering process, license terms and acquisition of media remain unchanged. Simply contact your reseller to place your order(s) for Open License products. Instead of receiving a hard copy license certificate, which you previously had to keep for proof of ownership, you will receive Order confirmation with instructions on how to use the eOpen web site to view your license status. For customers who require a physical document, Microsoft has enabled all distributors to print order confirmations upon request-contact your reseller if you have this need.
