How does energy crisis effect our world?
If energy costs go up too high inflation climbs, money devalues, people lose their jobs, societal is strained and the social safety net potentially breaks. You then get a lower quality of life. It’s one of the misunderstood things about “green” energy. The people most in favor of it tend not to understand that it’s not that nobody’s thought of it before; they’re just far less efficient than fossil fuels. They’re disgusting polluters, but from an objective stand point they’re just about the best energy per weight ratio you can get. The hype about “zero emission” cars is also tragically off base. The main thing providing the electricity to charge them is dirty fossil fuel. We really do need to work out some other system, but it may just be that there isn’t one. Fossil fuels have been compressed into such good power sources for free by the Earth over millions of years. Other than nuclear material, not much compares. Not to say alternative energy is a bad thing, every bit helps. It’s just
