How does eMAS work?
A patient first needs to register with a pharmacy, at which point the pharmacist will complete an electronic record of that registration to be held on a central server. Pharmacists can then prescribe using an electronic prescription form. This information is automatically sent to the central server and added to the patient’s records, and transferred to Central Services Scotland who will manage the reimbursement.
