How does Edexcel work with the Security Industry Authority (SIA)?
Edexcel is endorsed by the SIA to provide qualifications to support the licensing of security operatives. We work closely with the Competency Team at the SIA during the development of the core competency specifications and then develop a qualification to meet these specifications. Once a learner has achieved the qualification we are responsible for uploading their details to the SIA Qualification Database. The SIA makes reference to this during the licence application process so that the SIA is able to check that a learner is appropriately trained and qualified.
