How does Echo do research in the government sector, given limited access to information?
There are sometimes limitations on the access research companies can have to certain government officials, and these limits apply to other research companies no less than to Echo. In practice, we obtain valuable proxy views from those who influence, lobby or observe government without actually being part of the “no-interview” group of officials. We also draw on the content analysis of legislative procedures, debates and proceedings, which are in the public domain already, to enrich the process.
