How does ECF affect Appeals?
Until the US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky is live on CM/ECF; appeals will continue to be processed almost the same way they are currently handled. The Notice of Appeal and the previously filed documents will be electronically filed, however, those documents would have to be printed and provided to the court following current procedures because a paper record will still be needed for transmission to the District Court.
