How does each Chapter recruit its potential AHEPAcademy candidates?
Each participating Chapter will be provided with an AHEPAcademy Recruitment Kit that will include the application form, selection criteria, as well as advertising materials. The Advertising Kit will include flyers and other materials to distribute throughout the AHEPA Chapter’s community, including its local Greek Orthodox Church, and the local high schools in the area. As the goal of AHEPAcademy is to select the most qualified Greek-American student from each Chapter, a broader dissemination of information may help recruit applicants who may not currently be exposed to the AHEPA Family or the local Chapter’s scholarship program. (An ancillary benefit of this AHEPAcademy advertising campaign will be increased awareness for the Chapter’s existing college scholarship program as well as increased membership in the local AHEPA/Daughters of Penelope Chapters as students will need a parent or grandparent as a member of either organization before they can apply.)
