How does e-FAQ support XML?

0

Since version 2.0, e-FAQ has stored the questions and anwers in an XML format. There are a few tags that e-FAQ understands, such as for sections that are to be ignored ( tag) or indexed in literal form ( tag). All other tags are ignored and just passed through. This allows the use of any custom tags or HTML formatting elements. For example, one can add tags that are replaced in realtime with order information queried from a database when rendering the answer into a web-page. Note: realtime data substitution is currently not possible for e-mail messages. With e-FAQ 2.3.1, authors can create entries through a WYSIWIG editor, removing the need to use XML for authoring.
