DVI-A Cable The DVI-A cable, also known as high-resolution analog cable, allows a DVI-equipped video card to connect to an analog display, such as a CRT monitor. Though the picture quality and refresh rate may not be as high as the pure digital signal transferred through a DVI-D cable, a DVI-A cable allows a wider range of monitors to be used with a DVI video card.
