How does drop off and pick up work at Piney Branch?
Morning Drop-off Procedures Maple Avenue is a busy thoroughfare and there is no lawn in front of the school, so there is congestion at drop-off/pickup. If you are walking your child to school, make sure you cross at a marked crosswalk with a crossing guard. If you are driving your child to school and you want to walk into the school with your child in the morning, park on Maple Avenue, a nearby side street, or in the library parking lot. You cannot park in the circular drive in front of the school, or in the parking spaces which are for teachers only. If you are driving your child to school but DO NOT need/want to get out of the car, there is a drop-off lane which is the left-hand lane of the circular drive. School staff will meet each car directly opposite the front door, open the car door, and escort your child across the bus lane and onto the sidewalk. Please make sure your child is in the BACK SEAT (no elementary-school child is safe in the front seat) and ready with backpack ready
