How does DownloadPlus handle security?
In terms of general security, each user is forced to create a password upon registration (or have one auto-generated and emailed to them). When logging in to DownloadPlus for Customers, the user password is encrypted. Security questions can be enabled to ensure only real users can request new passwords. Individual download item security is based on a customer’s download privileges, determined by that customer’s access settings. Each customer or prospect has a separate access key for each product line. Product lines and access keys are defined in DownloadPlus Admin. This allows you to grant a customer full privileges to one product line, and more limited privileges to a second product line. As a new prospect progresses through the customer life cycle, sales managers can manually assign new access keys to give the customer more download privileges.
