How does Dole fruit flavored soft serve compare to frozen yogurt?
From a flavor perspective, Dole soft serve does not have the tangy flavor of most frozen yogurts. Rather its high citric acid content generates a highly intense fruit flavor that seems to burst in your mouth. There is really no other soft serve or frozen yogurt product that tastes quite like it. With just a ½ gram of fat per four ounce serving, Dole fruit flavored soft serve and frozen yogurt are similar. But unlike frozen yogurt, Dole fruit flavored soft serve is both cholesterol and lactose free. By its very nature, frozen yogurt contains a significant amount of bacteria. Until you mix Dole dry mix soft serve, these products are bacteria free. Frozen yogurt requires either refrigerated or frozen storage while Dole soft serve is shelf-stable. Dole soft serve also has a much longer shelf-life than frozen yogurt.
