How does Dolby® Headphone processing work on the HK 3490?
Dolby Headphone processing delivers a superb approximation of a surround presentation as heard through loudspeakers, with all of the privacy of headphone use. When you plug in the headphones, the front-panel display will indicate “Dolby H:BP” for conventional two-channel listening, or “Dolby H:DH” when Dolby Headphone processing is active. To activate Dolby Headphone processing, select either of the Dolby Virtual Speaker surround modes.
