How Does DIY Wind Power Compare to Other Energy Sources?
The problem with many energy sources is that they can be costly to get up and running. Not so if you choose homemade wind power! I bought a kit that taught me everything I needed to know to get up and running – it was FAR easier than I expected, and cost far less! When you compare wind energy to solar power, there are benefits and drawbacks. The thing about wind power is that one windmill isn’t usually enough to power a full home. However, the major drawback of solar power is that it only works during the day. This is why it’s useful to find a combination of DIY power methods that works for you and how much energy you use. Conclusion Personally I found that building more than one windmill was enough for my home – the homemade windmill power now means I live off the grid, but I do know many people who will combine it with other DIY, inexpensive forms of energy generation. The major benefit is that wind energy is cheap, and easy if you follow the right plans!
