How does disk-to-disk (D2D) differ from disk-to-disk-to-any (D2D2Ne)?

D2D allows you to backup to a virtual library. D2D2Ne allows a user to backup to disk and specify whether or not (through copy policy) information from that disk will be copied to another disk or tape. If you have a D2D2Ne license, you may set up a copy policy for the Virtual Library. A copy policy determines whether or not the backups stored on virtual media will be copied to other devices.
