How does Direct to Plate affect register?
This is the best part of direct to plate. When the image is burned onto the plate each color is done from the same point on the plate, when the plate are hung on press they should be very close to register with minimal moves. Direct to plate can hold from a half percent dot to a 99.5 percent dot, giving you a complete range of control. The structure of the dot also allows less dot gain and better color control.
