How does digital dictation work?
Anyone who needs accurate, fast turnaround of medical reports, law enforcement crime reports, legal pleadings, script rewrites, insurance summaries, etc., will pick up a telephone, cell phone, police car radio, etc., dial an 800 number to reach the digital transcription computer at Huntington Transcription Services, enter a personal I.D. number once connected to the digital computer, and then dictate directly into the handset of the phone. The author can rewind, pause, and record just as they would if they were dictating into a hand-held tape recorder. All dictation is then stored on the computer until transcribed by a transcripionist.
