How does DFT #1500 ” Hammerdown” help vaporize fuel?
Improved vaporization of diesel and heavy fuels is accomplished in two ways: (a) Carbon deposits around injector orifices distort the designed spray pattern resulting in poor fuel atomization. By removing and preventing the formation of carbon deposits, DFT #1500 “Hammerdown” insures that the fuel is atomized as designed by the equipment manufacturer, instead of in a distorted stream as occurs when orifices are obstructed. (b) DFT #l500 “Hammerdown” acts as a surfactant to break fuel into 2 microns or smaller sizes as they are injected into the combustion chamber, which enhances fuel/air mixing, resulting in a more complete combustion of fuel.
