How Does Detour Assure The Ingredients They Use In Their Products Are Safe For Their Customers?
We apply the following quality assurance program elements to assure our Detour products are of the highest quality and safe for ourselves as well as our customers: In general, all Detour bar ingredients are purchased typically through U.S. ingredient suppliers and brokers who have programs in place to certify the quality and safety of their ingredients. Our ingredient suppliers are normally U.S. owned companies who manufacture, purchase or import ingredients for sale in the U.S. In some cases, the ingredient suppliers actually own the manufacturing operations producing the ingredients. All food ingredients purchased from any source require a Certificate of Analysis (COA) signed by a technical or quality representative from the manufacturer to be included with the shipment as part of our ingredient receipt inspection process.
