How does denying the holocaust affect our society, world, history?
Denial any historical fact is damaging to both our society and the world. Denial of an event of such horrific evil is worst of all because it hinders current generations from learning the lessons of history and sets the stage for repetition. Hitler is quoted as having said that he was confident he could “get away” with the “Final Solution” because the world had neither recognized nor remembered the Armenian genocide of the early 20th century. Insofar as the world is concerned, it creates an intellectual dichotomy that will possibly lead to a nuclear conflagration. The mullahs of Iran both deny the Holocaust and promise another one; the Jews of Israel know history and will not passivley allow it to be repeated. Assuming the Iranians succeed in getting nuclear weapons, and assuming the Israelis have them, the stage is set for the Iranians to visit another holocaust on Israel and for Israel to destroy Iran ( and perhaps the rest of the Muslim world if they aid and abet Iran ) as a consequ
