How does deforestation and soil erosion cause floods and droughts?
Due to deforestation ans soil erosion, the topmost layer of the soil gets destroyed and the soil loosen. Trees stop the excess amount of waterby absorbing them, thereby preventing floods. And on the other hand, trees help in maintaing temperature and climatic conditions, thereby ensuring rainfall. Thus in this way it prevents drought. that’s why deforestation which means cutting down of trees cause flood and droughts.
