How Does DC Direct Make Decisions about Action Figure Articulation?
We receive many questions and comments regarding the articulation features of our action figures. Our goal is to produce figures with articulation that best fit the each particular character and artistic interpretation. Aesthetics and play value are both important factors that we consider when choosing the extent of an action figure’s articulation. We seek to balance these factors, while fulfilling as many request and suggestions as possible. While some figures have less articulation than others, many of our newer ones have additional joints in the knees and hips, the majority average nine to thirteen points. Due to wide creative diversity of the DC Direct line may we do not have a “uniform” standard for figure articulation, but we certainly take into consideration the feedback and wishes of our fans and customers.
