How does daily capping work on the bus or tram?

On the bus and tram daily capping is set at £3.30. There is no peak rate. Every journey is £1.00. 3 x £1.00 = £3.00, so when you make your fourth daily journey by bus / tram you will be charged 30 pence and after that nothing at all until 04:30 the next morning. Fortunately there are no problems with unresolved journeys on the buses / trams.
