How does CSPF decide on the issues that will be put before members to take action?
CSPF staff track a wide variety of policy issues related to state parks and identify those that would benefit from members of the public weighing in and expressing their opinions. Issues that are particularly contentious or instances where legislators need to hear from their constituents to help determine the outcome of a bill are likely to be the subjects of action alerts sent to members.
