CSBP intends to consult with other standards organizations that address biomass production in the U.S., such as the American Tree Farm System, Forest Stewardship Council, and Sustainable Forestry Initiative, to explore how those currently certified under existing programs might associate themselves with CSBP and how those certified under CSBP might associate themselves with other existing programs. A first step will be to determine if there is substantial alignment, identifying any significant gaps among the programs. Guidance both to growers and auditors will be provided.
