How does crystallization in waterproofing work?
On application, the product penetrates into the pre – dampened and water saturated substrate, using the water as a medium and then through the process of osmosis forms silicate crystals deep in the pores, capillaries and voids in the substrate. Once installed, this is not a surface coating but an impregnation system that has become an integral part of the substrate. FEATURES Cement based crystalline waterproofing system which is not sodium silicate Self-curing Has elasticity ranging from 15 % to 85 % It has a pH value of 11.5 same as that of concrete making it very compatible with concrete. Can be used on positive and negative side of structures. Pot life over one hour (at 30 C) Can be used on new (green) and old concrete. It is not a vapour barrier. It has excellent self-healing properties. It has excellent adhesion properties to concrete. It penetrates beneath the surface and anchors itself. It crystallises within the substrate It is non toxic and environmentally safe (water based) I
