Program participants will be accompanied by a faculty member and/or CPS staff member while abroad. All our programs have been thoroughly reviewed by a faculty committee with safety considerations in mind and Tulane Risk Management assesses each program to ensure safety concerns have been properly addressed. Additionally, evacuation insurance is purchased for every participant in a CPS international summer program; and in the case of a medical or public safety emergency, students will be transported to the nearest medical facility. It is important to note that CPS’ responsibility for a student participating in an international study abroad program concludes at the end of the stated program dates. Students who decide to remain abroad following completion of the program dates will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging the completion of Tulane and CPS’ safety responsibilities as set forth by the stated program dates.
