How Does Computer Malware Work?
Computer Malwareis the term used to describe computer software that is designed to infect one’s computer with a computer virus, rootkit, spyware, or adware. The term malware comes from malcious (intent) + software. It is the more correct term for the majority of infections a computer will receive differing from the term computer virus which refers to only a subset of all computer malware. Once a computer is infected with malware, it will either damage the computer’s files or programs, use the computer to conduct unapproved actions (by the owner) by others, display advertisements, or steal the user’s personal information.
