When the room thermostat calls for heating, the system’s pump immediately begins circulating hot water from the storage tank through a heating coil in the air handling module. A time-delay circuit controls the circulating air blower to ensure air is fully heated before it enters the duct work. When the thermostat senses the space has reached the desired temperature, the pump stops circulating hot water and, after a 30-second delay, the circulating air blower shuts off.
