How does colour coding work?
A colour coding system works by putting colour labels on your file folders, which identify individual files. This creates an effect of colour blocks in the storage system {or your desk} and allows the user to quickly find records by identifying with these colour blocks. Misfiles are easily spotted and corrected with a colour coded system compared to a misfile in a drawer system which can take hours, days, months and even years to locate and correct.
