How does ColonCancerCheck use my personal health information?
ColonCancerCheck compiles personal health information in the Colorectal Cancer Screening Registry in order to: • Identify individuals who should be screened for colorectal cancer; • Invite individuals to be screened for colorectal cancer by sending them invitation letters encouraging them to discuss colorectal cancer screening with their primary care providers; • Notify participants of their screening results; • Remind participants about future screenings; and • Ensure ColonCancerCheck is meeting its objectives (e.g. a high percentage of eligible Ontarians get screened for colorectal cancer).
