How does Cognitive Hypnotherapy work?

0

Cognitive Hypnotherapy works by using the clients own natural Trance States to uncover thoughts and memory patterns, active in the unconcious that create and maintain the problem. Therefore it works on the basis that the client already unconciously has the solution to their problem, and can be described as a process whereby an individual is guided into a trance like state for a mutually agreed purpose. Various techniques are used to modify the problem pattern, enabling the client to conciously take control of their behaviour. As the client you will always be in control and able to come out of trance whenever you want to. You cannot be told to do anything that you would not want to do or reveal anything about yourself unless you wanted to. You will be able to talk throughout and will find it a comfortable relaxing experience, working with your therapist to acheive the outcomes you desire.
