How does coal mining affect the jobs in that area ?
I am working with a coal testing company (not actually a mine) but the company I work for is a coal testing company with labs all over the US. If you are asking only how the local jobs are affected by coal mining, I would say it is a positive influence. The mines create many jobs for miners etc, but not only that, my company (or similar coal testing companies) are able to setup shop nearby these mines and creates additional jobs for the testing.
