How does coaching work?
Coaching is the process of helping clients discover their own solutions through an action-oriented plan. The concept involves understanding and reshaping your personal “system” in which you operate. When not managed well, this system can cause you to block, ignore, or resist challenges that are attainable. The process of coaching allows for examining the situation, creating a plan of action, and working in collaboration to resolve the issue or achieve the desired goals.
The first step is to experience an actual coaching session during which you determine whether you want to move forward with a coaching relationship. Once you choose to work with Jennie, you will receive materials that will help you explore your dreams, desires, values and vision for a life you want to live. By completing this material prior to the initial session you will be able to approach the process with clarity and an understanding of how you would like to benefit from the coaching sessions. (This initial session is in person when possible) Together, you and Jennie will determine the focus of the coaching, define the desired outcomes, and create the structure in which to work. Coaching sessions take place 3 or 4 times per month by telephone that last from 30-60 minutes. In between coaching sessions, we are available for spot coaching calls and email.
